Stephanie Posey is a lawyer whose mission is to support and equip her clients with a sense of preparedness and peace as they meet life’s most exciting, overwhelming, and complicated moments head on. She is known for her ability to walk her clients through complex legal processes with clarity, rolling her eyes at needlessly complicated legal jargon as she goes.

A law firm with heart

After 10 years of working in a traditional law firm, Stephanie understood that the life events requiring legal action are often just as much a matter of the heart as they are of the law and founded Posey Law Group LLC in 2009.  Stephanie wanted to provide unpretentious and deeply empathetic legal services for clients who found themselves where the rubber of life meets the road: taking risks to finally chase their dreams, navigating the simultaneous relief and heartbreak of life transitions, or bravely facing big questions about their legacy. She is a collaborative attorney who lives to see the delight spread across a client’s face when they open the doors to their new business, close on their house, or sign their estate documents. 

Stephanie, proudly rooted in her community, is an active member of the executive board of the La Grange Business Association and is Park Commissioner for the La Grange Park District. She is a graduate of IIT-Chicago Kent College of Law and the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
